FISA 2009 The Fédération Internationale des Sociétés d’Aviron / International Federation of Rowing Associations is pleased to announce that the FISA Extraordinary Congress 2009 will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, for the first time on the African continent. DESTINATION Cape Town is already Africa’s most popular convention city and is consistently voted one of the top international destinations in the world. Culturally cosmopolitan and filled with breathtaking beauty, Cape Town has the country’s top attractions on its doorstep: the dramatic Table Mountain; the vibrant Victoria and Alfred Waterfront; the fabled Cape Point; the world-renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens; the historic winelands; and the powerfully symbolic Robben Island. DELEGATE REGISTRATION ACCOMMODATION The Congress Secretariat has selected a range of hotels and made block bookings at guaranteed rates. There are a limited number of rooms and reservations will be taken on a “first come, first served” basis, so it is strongly recommended that delegates reserve accommodation early. |
